Maggie Cody

I got my start in design creating menus, signage, and candy bar labels for a coffee shop outside of Chicago. After having this experience, I decided to study graphic design at the University of Minnesota and really enjoyed the courses I took and professors I had the opportunity to learn from. I did internships throughout school, working for a small record label in Chicago and later an educational association in Minneapolis.

After taking two web design courses through the University of Minnesota's College of Design, I was intrigued by the concept of coding and decided to step out of my comfort zone and take a computer science course. The subject ended up clicking with me as at the end of the semester I was asked by the professor to be a TA for that course. I went on to complete a minor in computer science in only three semesters, where I challenged myself to learn as many different languages as humanly possible in a classroom setting – including Python, JavaScript, Java, C, C++, PHP, and even X86-64 Assembly.

I am fascinated with learning more about how code can be used creatively and aspire to continue to grow in this field. In my free time, I am learning more about iOS development with Xcode.

I've had the opportunity to work with large and small clients across the United States designing websites, mobile/web applications, brand identities, and packaging.
