NODA – Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education's website was one of the first professional websites I had the opportunity to redesign. I'd been working with the association for about a year and had always disliked the outdated site's template and felt it didn't reflect the association.
I provided the platform's team mockups to describe how we wanted the template to be developed, specifying access to full width of the page on the homepage and then transferred all of the association's webpages, which were coded in tables in HTML1, over to the new theme in HTML5. In doing this task, I did not just transition the webpages, but worked with association staff to analyze which webpages could be consolidated or combined and which webpages weren't necessary or in use anymore. In this process, we brought the total website page count from 350 to just over 200.
Primary goals within this redesign were responsivity and an elevated design that better reflects the associations values.
